New Drop-in Wednesdays for community opportunities

Vocational Services (SLaM) and Lambeth & Southwark Mind have launched two drop-ins for those who want accurate information on community opportunities and for those who have the knowledge to share. Under the banner of COIN, the Community Opportunities Information Network is offering drop-ins on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, 11am-1pm, for those who want reliable information on what opportunities they can get in the community. Meanwhile, a swap knowledge drop-in for those in the know will be happening on the last Wednesday of the month.

  1. Hi, I’ve just come across your flyer for your Community opportunities/recommendations days in Twitter, and just wanted to find out a bit more about these days? I am writing from Connect and Do, Certitude, where we run a number of free community activities during the week open to everyone, and offer a lot of volunteering opportunities too. I would love to come to one of these days and tell people about what we do, and the opportunities we have available, but wasnt sure if this was more of a peer support group or also for organisations to attend?

    1. Hello Jade, sorry for the delay in response. The next sharing knowledge drop-in session will be on the 26th of Feb, it is a great opportunity to share any information about and raise awareness of what you do at your organisation. The information drop-in (the next ones will be the 5th and the 19th of Feb), is aimed at people who are looking to get more information about what opportunities are available in Lambeth, so could potentially be something you could signpost service users to. There is also a separate Support Group for Peer Supporters at Beale House on the 25th of February.
